My wheelchair in Makkah
A sadaqa jariya of a wheelchair in Makkah to honor a loved one or yourself.
Each time a pilgrim uses it for free, rewards (hasanat) are credited to the beneficiary. You will also receive an authentic video of the deposit, supervised by our Islamic studies students.
🪙 Where exactly does my money go?
Your contribution is allocated transparently to maximize its impact and support several noble causes:
- Wheelchair purchase in Makkah
A significant portion of your donation is used to purchase a quality wheelchair directly in Makkah. This wheelchair is then given to someone in need at the Haram. - Supporting a student of Islamic sciences (talib al-ilm)
A portion of your contribution is given to the student providing the service on site. This helps them cover their essential needs while continuing their pursuit of knowledge, thereby contributing to the spread of Islamic scholarship. - Service fees
A small portion covers the operational costs necessary to provide high-quality service to Muslims worldwide. This includes logistics, on-site coordination, and the production of distribution proof (photos, videos, personalized frames).
This allocation ensures your sadaqa has a profound impact, helping people with mobility challenges, supporting Islamic education, and ensuring the quality and transparency of the service.
🕌 Is this legislated (Sharia-compliant)?
Yes, Al-Hamdulilah, donating a wheelchair in Makkah is a fully sanctioned and highly meritorious form of sadaqa jariya (ongoing charity) in Islam.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: a sadaqa jariya, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him."
(Hadith reported by Muslim)
By donating a wheelchair:
- You help pilgrims with limited mobility perform their acts of worship in the holiest place in Islam, which is a tremendous source of baraka (blessing) and hasanat (good deeds).
- You support a student of Islamic studies (talib al-ilm) who provides this service. A portion of your contribution goes to them, helping them continue their studies and spread knowledge.
- Every time the wheelchair is used by someone in need, you receive hasanat on behalf of the sadaqa beneficiary. It’s a continuous act that brings you rewards as long as the wheelchair is in service. 🌟
